This Privacy Policy explains how OnBoard ("OnBoard," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and Service.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Account information: name, email address, business name, password
  • Billing information: processed by our payment provider, Stripe (we do not store full payment card numbers ourselves)
  • Customer Data you input to use the Service: staff/employee names, license numbers, license types, and renewal/expiration dates

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps, general analytics
  • Device/browser information: IP address, browser type, operating system

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including sending renewal reminders
  • Process subscription payments
  • Communicate with you about your account, updates, or support requests
  • Improve and develop the Service
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information or the personal information of your staff that you input into the Service.

3. How We Share Information

We share information only with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the Service, including Stripe (payment processing), our hosting provider, and email delivery providers — each bound by their own privacy and security obligations
  • Legal authorities, if required to comply with a subpoena, court order, or similar legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public
  • A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you

4. Data Retention

We retain account and Customer Data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. You may request deletion of your data as described in Section 6.

5. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you
  • Opt out of certain communications (e.g., unsubscribe from marketing emails)
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format

California residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA). If you are a salon owner or business submitting employee information: you are responsible for providing any required notices to your employees regarding the collection and use of their information through the Service, in accordance with applicable state law.

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service and understand usage patterns. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect Service functionality.

The Service is operated in the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
